Welcome! We are currently sold out of shares for theĀ 2011 season, but we may still have a fruit share! Also, we will offer produce as a virtual share. Click here for more information.
We were recently featured in YellowScene magazine! Check out the article here.
HeartEye Village CSA is a micro farm offering non-certified organic vegetables, herbs and cut flowers. At the start of 2009, we began a small CSA for the residents of HeartEye Village in Lafayette, Colorado (just a few miles east of Boulder). We use sustainable, organic, and permaculture techniques to raise a wide variety of vegetables and herbs on a quarter acre plot. We are located on an 80 acre piece of land that had once been a dairy farm, and then an alternative school. We also board horses and grow hay for them. As our micro-farm proves more and more successful, we will consider expanding the gardens so that we can grow more food, for more people! In 2011, we began constructing a high tunnel unheated greenhouse and will be trying our first Winter CSA at the end of the year. We plan to build more and expand our possibilities of growing healthy food year round!
Check our blog for current news, and feel free to contact us if you are near Lafayette, Colorado and want to be a CSA member, or if you have a restaurant or other food business and would like to have offer fresh, local, “beyond organic” produce! Hearteye Village CSA is a pilot study micro-farm for LandShare Colorado’s “Grow Your Own CSA” program and future CSA Co-op.
